anyone else here a member of Royal London?
i have had a small ISA with them for 10+ years, and also have small pension pot which is managed by them, having taken over the Royal Liver.
i have been reading the Strategic Report this evening. they have new branding, which i think looks good, https://www.royallondon.com, and are bringing all brands into one now, including Scottish Life, Scottish Provident, Bright Grey, Caledonian Life, CIS, RLAM and Money Vista.
it is a big business, with £73.5bn under management.

Money Vista (now Royal London Financial Planner) is discussed in this thread:

anyone else here a member, or holding any of their funds?
potentially looking to add a Bond Fund to my ISA portfolio, and have this on my radar:

I hold RL Sterling Extra Yield Bond Fund - Its doing quite well for me but I wouldn't say it is the safest of bond funds - quite high yield.0

that's right pip...but the high yield is what i would be in for.0

I am also a member as I hold a pension with Scottish Life. I like the sound of the strategic report and the new branding. Also notice that they have started advertising on TV recently so sounds like they are going places.0 -
Royal London is bringing the bulk of the business under one brand and are planning to significantly grow the brand awareness and scale of the business. and yes, TV adverts, and a significant investment in advertising via supporting cricket.
did you notice reference to the "discretionary mutual dividend"...of 1.7%? was this applied to your policy? not quite sure whether they are suggesting that this is just part of the return for 2013.0 -

a fair point Archi Bald. i didn't read Royal London's plans to invest in promoting the brand by supporting cricket with enthusiasm.....at the same time, the concept of scaling up, along with unifying under one brand, to improve efficiency, makes sense.0
