Read a lot of threads on these parkingeye guys. But most have been pay and display. In my situation we went to a pub in Eastleigh parked up spent a bit of time getting my son out of the car went round only to find the pub was closed. Asked someone what time it opened then went back to the car. Packed my son in got us in and away we went. I didn't even know it was patrolled by a camera. We had spent 11 minutes in that car park that was owned by the pub. It was not pay and display it is free to customers of the pub. Just had a letter drop today asking for £100 or a discounted rate of £60 if I pay within 14 days. A disgraceful amount for 11 minutes.
Do you suggest the form to them direct or phone?
Any help greatly appreciated.

You speak about the time to get your son in and out of the car. Is there a reason why it takes some time (disability?). This might add a bit of weight to the way you proceed with this.
If not and it's a young child needing to be strapped in carefully then it's a case of following the NEWBIES sticky at the top of the forum index, with an initial appeal to PE (with likely rejection) get a POPLA code, then appeal to POPLA.
Templates for both procedures above are included in the sticky.
Don't let the grass grow under your feet here, PE are litigious. With the above procedure followed in good time this can be quite easily overcome; let it drag on to the point of PE issuing court proceedings and you're in for much more work to kick it into touch. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
