How are you arriving at that figure?...because according to my maths*, and with a representative APR of 12.9%, the daily rate is 0.03342% (so 3p per £100 per day).
* Annual non-compounded rate / 365
Yes you are correct. I now I see it. It is a typo that I have perpetuated across the posts.
However, that rate typo does not detract from the essence of my original post's last statement. Perhaps it makes sense to pay all other outstanding transactions as well as the cash ones to ensure that very little or no interest is charged.0 -
There's no "perhaps" about it...that's what you must do to avoid/minimise interest if you have some statemented (but not yet paid) purchase transactions.broadmarsh wrote: »Perhaps it makes sense to pay all other outstanding transactions as well as the cash ones to ensure that very little or no interest is charged.0 -

I used the word "perhaps" so that someone such as yourself would confirm what I originally suspected. Just what was needed.
Thanks. It is appreciated.

I already answered this several posts ago.0 -
Answered in post #2 - payments are applied against cash withdrawals first even though the interest rate is the same for cash and purchases (post #8 is correct that interest is waived on purchases if you pay off in full by the due date).0

I don't understand why you'd bother. Small interest on small amounts, rather than wasting holiday time finding the internet and moving cash over.

I've found the Clarity Card very good.
So have I found it very good over the years. Who said there were small amounts? I was talking about large amounts but did not post as such in the first post. Anyway, it is my money and I have the time in the evenings sitting in my apartment and it only takes a few minutes every few days
. As they say...Look after the Pennies and the Pounds will look after themselves.Presumably it's not the answer the new poster wants to hear :cool:
You presume wrong.
Thank you for your interest in my well being.0
