Multifunction printer advice

The charity I volunteer for needs to purchase a monochrome laser mfp. We currently print about 700 copies per month, most of which are photocopies of training materials, the rest are general Word docs etc. Photo and graphics printing is not a priority at all.
Does anyone have experience of such a device in a small office environment? I have read lots of online reviews of mostly personal machines, but I am really looking for someone who can say they can personally recommend a particular device, having used it.
It needs to be networked and, in particular, it needs to a model for which I can buy generic toner cartridges!
