Car Insurance - Smashed Windscreen
Options
I got home from work last night and went to use the car and noticed that my windscreen had been shattered. Its looks like this may have been deliberately done.
I contacted Admiral to use the windscreen cover on my policy. They said that someone would call me today to arrange a time to get this replaced.
However when the windscreen company called they advised that it wouldn't be repaired until tomorrow. I explained that the car was parked in the road and I was worried that someone else might try something if it wasn't replaced today but they were unable to fit me in.
I contacted Admiral again to explain my concerns about the car being parked out on the street and if they could contact the windscreen company to chase them up but they wouldnt.
What would you do about this? I am unable to move the car as I cant see out the windscreen and I'm worried that something may happen to it overnight. Thanks

Try other windscreen repairers, pay for it yourself, and move on is probably your only option. Either that or kick the screen out and drive it somewhere safe.0

What are your concerns?
It will be a laminated screen so will take a bit of efforts to put a hole in it.0 -
The windscreen firm won't keep stock of every single possible windscreen at their local depot. If they don't have it in stock - they can't fit it until it arrives with them. Even if they do have it in, it's entirely possible the fitters will be given their day's worth of jobs and parts for the day first thing, then not return to base until the evening. Dealing with, frankly, your paranoia is not really their job. Replacing your windscreen ASAP is - and they're doing that.0
