I'm furious with these jerks.
I cancelled my subscription online. Didn't realise it was on auto renewal but found out in time for the 48 hrs notice period. I Followed all the online prompts and thought I done it, but apparently not to their satisfaction as they took my 6 month subscription anyway. They say I must have made a mistake in cancelling or they would have sent me an email confirming the cancellation.
I'm livid. I think the online cancellation process must be misleading as I've seen other people with the same gripe. Just to state I'm not a complete fool and I can follow instructions. I've ranted at them as I think this is hugely unfair and no way to treat a customer. Why can't they just bill me until the end of the month and give me a prorated credit - isn't that fair? Anyway does anyone know who I can complain to? I'm striking out with Match.
Just to further knock them the site is not as good as Plenty of Fish where I met my now girlfriend. Do not use this site.

You can complain by calling the Citizens advice consumer service. They will be able to give you advice about how to resolve the problem and they will notify trading standards of the issue (if many other people have had the same problem TS might look into it).
The number for CitACS is 08454 040506Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0
