Weedy tubs, and others

I've had a number of plants potted in plastic containers on my decking that have run their course, or just didn't work, or died.
I'm looking at starting the garden from scratch again, apart from a couple of successful climbers.
I've got a 5L tub of Rosate 36, ready to deploy when the time is right.
Do I just extract what weeds I can from the tubs and dig the soil back into the garden?
Thanks for any advice.

Is your garden an acre of field? You have enough glyphosate to kill that!
Of course you can put the soil in the tubs back in the garden, but is that all you want to know?
I don't think your question is very clear, hence the lack of replies.0 -

I saw this question when it was posted and was going to reply to this first paragraph saying that sounds like gardening to me.If they were bedding type plants then they do run their course and then die.
If you grow bedding in containers or hanging baskets for example everyone starts from scratch every year.
It would be useful to know what plants just didn't work.0
