Good afternoon,
I have used the search bar and read through some posts but it seems like choosing a new bank is down to personal preference in many cases...I was wondering if anyone could help me choose a new bank or whether I am better off at Lloyds...
The OH and I are looking for a joint account, our combined monthly income is ~£3150 hopefully moving up to ~£3400 as of next month, monthly savings will be £250-£500 and we may occasionally dip into the overdraft by £100 now and again...We aren't looking for a premium account as I doubt the monthly cost would justify the advantages...So basically a bank account with a cheap basic overdraft and okay savings rates...and maybe a nice £100 switching fee :T
Any information would be great.
Thanks.

No one can advise you on here anyway as you need to be licensed and have a lot more information.
Switching bonus will depend on who you've already banked with. First Direct wont pay theirs if you've EVER had ANY banking product from them but their Regular Saver could be good for you which I believes requires their current account.
If you want interest earning current accounts then you have TSB or Nationwide. Cashback you have Santander. Good account state Halifax and Coop round things off with a basic switching bonus
Of cause you could bump around a couple of these to collect all the switching bonuses and then stick with the one that gives you the best long term option0 -
There's a whole editorial section listing best bank accounts.0
