Remortgage a good idea??

We've been contacted by our bank to talk about remortgaging. We have about £30k o/s in unsecured credit and £95k mortgage. My partner is keen to do this but I'm not, we do have a lot of equity in our property but I don't want to add any more to the mortgage. Is remortgaging ever the right thing to do to consolidate debts????

Unlikely that your lender will consider consolidating debt into the mortgage.
Who is your current lender. As unusual for them to be approaching you directly.0
