Upload speed to Google Drive

I wanted to share a large (video) file with some family members. I decided to use Google Drive. The file size is 390Mb my upload speed on various internet speed checkers is about 0.4Mb/s. So I was expecting under 20 minutes to upload the file. It took over 3 hours. Any ideas about why it was so slow and if there is anything I can do about it? Thanks for any insight you can offer.

The file is probably 390MB (bytes) your upload speed is .4Mb (bits) per second so multiply your estimate by 8 and there you have it4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . The file was 390MB. Your upload speed is 0.4Mb/s. That capital letter makes a big difference.
0.4Mb/s = 0.05MB/s.0
