Receiveing Debt colelction letter but nothing on my credit file?

Options
Hi All

Im not sure where I stand with this.

Today I receveid a letter from Scotscall to advise my account is £1600 overdue and they are arranging to send someone round. I think this is scaremongering.

However I've gone on to my experian credit report today and cannot find any reference of this alleged credit file, nor on experian!

Does anyone know where I stand with this? Would you fire a usual CCA request letter to prove the debt? Doe anyone have a template I could use?

Any idea what they might be barking after? People dont usually forget about £1600 being outstanding?

Definitely a 'Prove It' letter. Sticky at the top of the forums.
