I've emailed them asking to cancel but they reply saying you have to call us. I try the 0800 number (which isn't free!) only to get cut off straight away.
I've been going back and forward and got nowhere, all i want to do is cancel this account so i dont get stung the £15 which is about to come into play tomorrow.
Is there any other way i can cancel this account quickly and easily, i dont want to be spending half hour of my life being passed from pillar to post via Bangalore trying every tactic under the sun to make me stay or keep me on the phone for more wasted money.
So frustrating, why is nothing easy to cancel these days!

Sorry you've had problems getting through to our freephone cancellation line. If you email us at uksocialsupport@experian.com we'll help with this. Our contact centre is in Nottingham by the way.
Thanks

0800 numbers are free from landlines, chargeable from mobiles. Can you not use a landline to call them?
They'll give you the hard sell when you do call, that's why they make it difficult to cancel any other way, but stick to your guns and say no to their offers.0 -
I tried the 0800 on the landline and couldnt get through. just had this response from the UK team:
"I am sorry to hear that you have been unable to get through to us. We are experiencing some faults with our phone lines today and are working to restore them as soon as possible."
"I've now cancelled your CreditExpert membership, including your Identity Fraud Expenses Insurance, so you won't be charged any further fees."
So all sorted now0 -
Every time I cancel something now I just say "I have lost my job and can't afford it". I have no time for long winded sales speeches. All that glitters is not gold.0
