Chrome bookmarks and settings keep changing

I have spent a lot of time re-arranging my Chrome browser bookmarks only to find they seem to have reverted to an old version. Would this be due to synchronization with the web version and this taking preference?

In a related issue after using CCleaner the Chrome browser doesn't recognise all the settings and a few adjustments have to be made every time the cleaner is run. Has anyone any easy solutions to these problems?

I've used various browsers over the years on xp and vista and they all have anomalies. I tried Chrome but it would never remember my home page (saying it couldn't find it although the addy was displayed so after trying to fix it by uninstalling, reinstalling etc, I gave up.

IE9 on Vista is a pain sometimes so I now use Firefox. But now another issue has arisen with all three because they won't use the Realplayer Download add-on.

I do wish someone would come up with a browser fault-free.
