I agree, I don't like the look of this at all. Have reported the thread to the forum team to see what they think.

Just been given an ebay link that mentions the ebay-promotions.com address so looks like I was wrong. Edited my post accordingly.

How do I get the voucher? I'm on the ebay facebook page but can't see what to do?
And my ebay log in page doesn't seem to have the option to log in with facebook?

Edit - ignore me, just seen the link in the OP.:o

If it's a scam, how come it actually works when you enter the code on ebay...?

I'm very suspicious of this. The domain name that this promotion uses isn't owned by ebay and is registered to an individual in Switzerland. http://whois.domaintools.com/ebay-promotions.com

    Update: This is genuine. http://pages.ebay.co.uk/vouchers/Facebook/UN/

Apologies for the false alarm :(

Both posts now edited - looks fine :) In addition, when clicking on T&Cs in e-mail, that links directly to ebay.co.uk - T&Cs here

    Thanks so much OP :T

Oooh, just spotted "When using Cart, it can be used when purchasing from multiple sellers" - useful!

Ebay's page on coupons and vouchers says the following:

'Vouchers get distributed through various channels such as e-mail, offers on the eBay website, on social media sites like Facebook. The voucher will contain a redemption code you need to have available when you want to redeem it.'

No my paypal also showed the full amount but if you look at the details of the payment part is from your card and the rest is a £5 voucher -was for me when I ordered printing inks anyway.

Thanks op. I'd done it before I read the scare posts anyway so too late to stop.

    Great find, thanks.

For those asking about removing the access afterwards, you need to go into the Facebook account settings to do this. Go to Settings then Apps and all the apps you have allowed will be listed. Click the x and a pop up will ask you to confirm. Press ok and you have removed it :)
