Forest Fencing 15 Year Guarantee A Joke!

For the second time in recent years I have tried to claim replacement panels from Forest Fencing under the terms of their 15 year guarantee against rot. Last time I had months of battling with them as they tried to tell me my panels and trellis arches were "falling apart" not rotten, even though I sent pictures of nasty crumbling timber and my builder spoke to them on the phone. Even with regular care and treatment more panels (9 years old) are now "falling apart" - because the battens holding them together have rotted! I sent pictures to Forest along with the scanned purchase receipt and today received a reply that I could safely have bet thousands on........

Thank you for your pictures, apologies for the delay in coming back to you.

Unfortunately although the panels are “falling apart” they do not appear to be rotten and are not covered under guarantee.

The panels do look very dry, so unsure how long since the panels were re-treated?

I particularly like the suggestion that they "look dry" and have been in some way neglected! So it is into battle again but why on earth do they put a guarantee on their panels if they are so reluctant to honour it? And in reality with people moving around so much these days how many people actually ever try to claim? Has anyone else come up against this particular problem?
