White Fur

Recently got a 'rescue cat' - it's a Calico i.e. with lots of white fur from her shoulder and underside.

Problem: - how to clean up the layer of white fur that gets deposited on duvet covers, and carpets!??

We've now it seems having to vacuum the royal blue stairs & landing once a week, to keep pace with it!

Any ideas please!??

I have two white cats, one longhaired so I feel your pain lol

I discovered by accident that a zoom groom used on the wrong side is absolutely brilliant at removing stubborn hair from carpets etc. It also gets a lot of hair out of my cats coat when I groom them with it so reducing what ends up on the carpet.

Simply the best tool ever for these situations.....and I speak as the owner of 8 cats, including two long haired whites and two long haired blues.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'd be very happy to only have to hoover once a week! I have 2 tortoiseshell cats and I have to hoover every day - sometimes twice a day because of the layer of fur along the landing carpet

I bought one of these for my boys and my god they hate it! The first time I used it, I got bitten. I use a wire brush which holds the loose fur. I found the zoom groom deposited fur everywhere.

I have one of those grooming mitts. The cats hate it but it's great for picking up loose hair on the sofa, carpets, etc.

I'm with catkins, I've got a calico shorthair and a cream tabby maine coon so I've got to hoover everyday.

Hoover every day and I've found that tumble drying the washing rids garments/bed linen of their hair.

a cheap way of getting rid of pet hair is to dampen a pair of rubber gloves and 'wipe' them over the surface. the hair sticks to the damp rubber. for carpets I would suggest on of those rubber 'brooms' (kleeneze, betterware etc sell them cheaply) and dampen that.

My cat begs to be groomed with his zoom groom. Our old cat hated it!
