Hi, I dont do this but my brother has done it for years and loves it. It can be very challenging and you do see people in their worst circumstance sometimes, but you can (and do) save lives, be there when needed and can make a serious difference to an outcome. My brother has chagned his job now and is starting to work alongside paramedics as he loves it so much. He often works unsocial hours, bank holidays etc but says he enever has a day he regrets doing it. Every good luck to you, its such a great thing to be doing.
To those who are given much, much is expected

Did my training some years ago now, but then unfortunately the scheme, after initial trial, never took off locally.

Well done you, though, for signing up and hope your training goes well and that the scheme in your area remains active.
