UKPC Parking Ticket Gallagher Park Dundee

My car was parked there earlier today and the driver forgot to put a ticket for the free 2 hours parking. They popped into Matlan briefly (about 15 minutes) and when they came out there was a ticket on the windscreen. I read the stickie on here and plan to ignore all letters as I am in Scotland. I tried phoning Mataln and complained to a manager but he said there was nothing he could do about it. I assume this is the correct thing to do.
Thanks

Yep ignore it and search the parking forum for 'Dundee' as a keyword, to read the Dundee Courier recent advice on a thread here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes the advice for Scotland + NI is to ignore as POFA 2012 does not apply there and so they can not pursue the keeper - only the driver - but they don't know who that is and you are under no obligation to tell them.0

Also be aware that a poster has recently reported threatening calls from a Scottish bailiff firm after ignoring a ticket there.
Again, they are quite powerless, despite the threats - so if you are hassled, tell them to cease and desist, squat and rotate - in that order!0 -
Raise a complaint to Matalan head office, demand politely that they cancel this ticket, and say you will never shop with them again if they don't . Attach copies of your receipt to the email.
As for the parking company ignore them. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I read a thread about a Glasgow debt collector/Sheriffs officer calling someone and saying the law had changed in Scotland on the 1st of April. I'm fairly sure they are lying but it does concern me slightly. I'm ex-directory and have been for a number of years so they will hopefully struggle to get my number.
I was thinking about contacting Matalan head office to complain even though the manager said there was nothing he could do.0 -
Don't just think about it, please do make complaints, without these kind complaints these companies will continue to use these scumbag parking companies. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

I haven't heard anything from them for over 2 months so I was planning on continuing to ignore them. My incident happened in the afternoon so I'm not sure if the after 6pm argument would work. If they contact me again I might complain but I was hoping they had taken the hint I wasn't paying and were going to leave me alone.0
