Advice needed

Hi All

I am looking for some advice for a friend. She has recently split up with her oh and has 2 children. She would like to stay in her home but although she has always paid the mortgage she does not think she would be able to get a mortgage on her own as she works part time. She can't get a guarantor/ family can't help and her ex is unemployed and likely to be for the forseeable future.

Is there any agency she could approach for assistance? She is going to CAB but it's a few weeks until her appointment. She lives in Scotland.
