Franked parcels rejected by post office

It makes sense to me as a RM user, I can't see why the OP is being so obtuse.
The rule is post on the dated day, why? So they can conform to QOS.
OP, stop blaming the PO and RM for your tardiness...
You were the one who ran late.
What QOS can they conform? A 1st class mail takes 5 days to deliver (if lucky)? Or a signed for parcel can go missing? Or an airsure delivery takes exactly the same length of time as a normal air mail?
Have you ever sent franked mails?0 -

Their QOS runs on a system that requires the date posted to be franked correctly, other posters have explained it quite concisely. If you want to use their system you need to abide by their rule, it's not hard.
Take your business elsewhere if you think someone else can be more flexible for you.Have you ever sent franked mails?
Yes, one of my duties used to be dropping the franked mail at the local sorting office at the end if the day (on my way home), I arranged my time to ensure I left adequate time to drop it off, time management is not rocket science...====0 -
BartyBoy how many days 'out' would you deem to be acceptable? If YOU paid for next day delivery would you be pleased if RM accepted parcels with the wrong posting date?0

It is good that the Royal Mail is concerned about having the date of posting on letters and packages so that it can monitor service quality. However, that being the case, with unfranked mail it should ensure that its postmarks are legible. I often receive mail where that is not the case.0

Does it?
What are you basing 5 days on?

92.5% next day.
If you drop off your mail 5 days a week. Your QOS this year is under 100% already. Whats your excuse?
Do you understand what Signed For is?
Do you understand who deals with the delivery of international mail?0 -
I guess there's also the question of making sure the prevailing postage rate is correct on the day of posting - preventing me from printing 10,000 labels the day before a postage price rise.
Also, because franked mail franks aren't cancelled with an overprint like stamps are, the possibilities for fraud would be enormous - and this prevents that.0
