Debt Collection Letter

Hi,
I have recieved a letter from a debt collection agency, who give vague details of an offence back in Dec, which I knew nothing about as no ticket, letters etc.
Should I respond? If so, to whom?
I can't even say if the offence is 'real' it was that long ago!
(over staying in B&M car park)
Thanks
newtoallthis99!

Who is the Debt Collector?
Is the original parking company mentioned at all? Their letters often say things like on behalf of our client xxxxxx
B&M use different parking companies but it could have been G24
Try using the search the forum function for the location of the B&M store to find other posters dealing with the same car park.
Also you need to read the NEWBIES sticky thread - especially post #4 Debt collector stage - see link below.

What happened when you complained to B&M, as you would, even after this time?

I won't comment on the debt collector letters as it's already covered in the NEWBIES thread, and shown as pics of the full letter chain in Crabman's sticky thread about letter chains. So there's nothing more to say about ignoring that drivel.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks guys - the parking company is G24 and the debt people are DRP.
I wasn't sure if #4 in Newbies would apply as I haven't been given the opportunity to go through the other stages.
I also haven't complained to B & M's yet as I was under the impression I should ignore all correspondence (until I read otherwise on here)
I will have a look at the links
Thanks:)0 -
Now that we know it was G24 you will probably be able to get this cancelled fairly quickly.
Take a look at this link and follow the advice given by Hot Bring in post #3
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4955769
or send this slightly longer version in post #6 also by Hot Bring
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4956050
Hopefully you should hear back soon that G24 have cancelled the charge

Hi, does anyone have the address for G24? The only one I can find on line is a sales office. As I have never had any letters from them, I don't know which address to send my letters to.
Thanks0 -

Don't bother making the effort to post it - email it via their contact us form http://www.g24.co.uk/contact-us.aspx"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped - just had a letter confirming the charge has been cancelled.0
