Next Directory Account - Anyone else have issue with account name?

in Credit cards
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but since it is a credit account and this part is 'Credit Cards' I figured it's similar.
Anyway
I want to know if anyone else has a similar problem to mine;
Ever since I set the account up 3 years ago all the emails they've ever sent me have been addressed to 'Mrs J Dunnings' - all the information in the email is correct - like the items ordered are my items, the account number is correct etc but the name is not.
Now I am not Mrs J Dunnings, nor have I ever been, my name is Rebecca, and I do not know anyone with that surname or name at all.
I didn't really think anything of it as when I ordered for home delivery everything always had my name on it but back in December I started ordering to store (as a new one opened nearer to me than the city one which meant it was more convenient) and at first that seemed to be alright but by about the 3rd order they were having trouble finding my orders even though I had an email (and the store were confirming it) to say the order was in my store. They simply could not find it. This happened 3 or 4 times and I had to ring customer services to get the lengthy process sorted (each time took about half an hour in store and then another 20 minutes on the phone) and have the order cancelled and reordered etc.
I finally kicked up enough fuss with CS that they rang me to tell me that the store had located a parcel for me and it was waiting by the till. I went to the store, got my parcel and THEN noticed it was showing the name 'J DUNNINGS' in capitals. I mentioned to the man who served me that I was having an issue with this name and I wondered if this was why all my parcels were 'disappearing'.
I called CS when I got home to sort this and the man who I spoke told me he had sorted it.
I stopped ordering from Next (as I only order alot around Xmas then once or twice in the year for Summer/Winter etc, plus they now gave me a store card so I could just go in and add the amount to my balance) and so I had not noticed whether anything had changed but the other day I ordered some stuff so I didn't have to go in and I noticed the email said Mrs Dunnings AGAIN! So I rang CS today and the woman said she couldn't see why the name was associated with my account so there was nothing she could do. I asked if they could open a new account and transfer the balance, she said no. I told her I didn't want to order from Next anymore as it is a huge inconvenience each time and she went all quiet for a moment whilst tapping her keyboard (not the greatest customer service agent either!!) before miraculously declaring it had all been sorted..
Cue my incredulity at her remarkable ability to turn 'nothing we can do' to 'all sorted' ...
We shall see.
But anyway does anyone have this issue?
I tried Googling it but everything with the word Next came up and it was not at all relevant.
Sigh.
Anyway

Hi I read your post and alarm bells rang because something happened to me that lead to fraud on my account so please be very vigilant.
Somebody opened an account using my details but not in my name - go figure. Next even did a credit check on me - what confusion - allowing the OP to buy £300 pounds worth of goods in two separate transactions. I didn't realise until I got a Next statement sent to my address but with a different surname from mine. I queried it with Next and luckily I was on a trial sign-up with one of these companies where you can check your credit rating. Lo and behold, the information was all on there! Credit search, the lot! I queried this and raised the alarm with Next, Experian and my bank and luckily it was resolved. Since then I have been extra careful to scrutinize everything that comes through the post, via my bank, emails etc. It is often easily done to dismiss seemingly "harmless errors" but to my horror I have found that sometimes there really is fraudulent activity going on, whilst we, in good faith, entrust that these companies have security checks etc.0 -
Thanks for sharing your experience

So far everything on the account is mine and nothing untoward (and it was myself who opened the account) but I will keep an eye on it
