I am purchasing a vehicle costing a around £26000 I intend to pay a deposit of around a £1000 on my barclaycard and then in about 14/16 weeks pay the balance 1 week before delivery on a debit card. If for any reason I dont get the vehicle or have any problems am I right in thinking that the credot card company has to cover me for any potential losses.
thanks for any comments.

Your credit card will be equally liable for breach of contract issues. Which is far from your 'losses'. If you pull out of the deal for example and lose a proportion of your deposit etc then they won't cover this or similar. If the dealer fails to supply the car or it's faulty and you reject it - in case they reuse to refund you or anything the CC company will be equally liable for this breach0
