Statement or Running Balance

Quick question and probably a really thick one knowing me
But when a potential lender views your credit file, do they see your running balance on a credit card, or just the last statement total?
For example, my last statement was something like £1500 which I then cleared, and now half way through the month again it is around £400 - so if they checked today, would they see the £1500 or the £400?
Hope that makes sense
Thank you for any clarification.

From what I've seen on my Noddle, they will see your previous statement totals and the regular payment you make. Best suggestion I can give is sign up for noddle - it's free and will give you an indication.
As to how each lender views this information, each will have their own criteria for assessing it0 -
Thanks Sin, yes I am with Noddle and see the statement totals but understood that lenders have a more 'live view' of things so can check in any time for latest info. However I wasn't sure with credit cards if this always just shows your statement total or if it shows what you are spending on it on a running basis.Debt Free 08/08/2014
