    Morning all,

Family issues rearing their ugly heads ago.... Why is my husband in the middle of them? I lay in bed thinking of how I'd cope without him if I left him (or asked him to leave) and my mind went blank. He's turning into his Mother who was a bitter and twisted old woman!

Middle son came to see us last night. After he left 'Youngest' posted this on his twitter:

'My brother has come round, I don't even recognize him as my brother anymore'.

He fills my heart and head with such pain because 'Youngest' is saying what I feel guilty for thinking.

Just a few bits and pieces to do in the house today. Cottage pie for tea tonight and I'd best make a move before I sit and mope too long. I'm fighting to keep the black dog at bay!

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a good day all.

Thank you all for the posi-vibes and good wishes; if you could keep them coming til Mr LW sees Dr P on Thursday, that'd be great.

My own situation is - whilst not wonderful, at least no worse than before; my blood test didn't throw up any further anomalies, thankfully.

I'm really cross that they've had me stewing for best part of a week, though. I had the blood taken on 17th April, and was told they'd call if there was any problem with it. In the past, the protocol has always been that if the test is OK, you don't hear anything at all - as in "no news is good news". So - fast-forward to last Wednesday.... Mr LW got a call from the surgery (I have previously given them written consent to talk to him about my medical stuff, as I don't do phones) - this was a call to make an appointment for them to call him about my blood test. Yes, you read that right, a call to make an appointment to call him, some time today (time was not specified)! So, of course, given my tendency to assume the worst, and given that in the past they only called if there was something up, I have been worrying myself stupid since then. Anyways, Dr P the younger ("his" Dr P's daughter, as it happens) called him this morning, to say there was nothing untoward. Why this couldn't have been relayed in the initial call, I do not know; it'd have saved me 6 days of anguish.

Anyways, the upshot is I just continue to do as the consultant told me some 2 or 3 years ago "just go away and live with it".

However.... we still have the biggie to worry about; and it is a worry, because Mr LW is normally one of the healthiest people I know; it's lucky in a way that he already had an appointment scheduled for this Thursday (due for his meds review - he has high blood pressure, not unusual for a man in his 60's I gather) or he'd likely be another fortnight before he could get to see the GP.

Sorry, this has turned into a far too long post - something I normally try to avoid.

Butterfly yes, it's amazing the amount you use your non-dominant hand and not realise til it's out of commission. GWS wishes for you mate.

Hilstep I too regularly kick the duvet off part-way through the night.

Julie what can I say, mate?.... pain-free vibes coming your way. Don't take any old buck from the council, keep nagging til they do something about that hole.

That's it, my brain's given out now, so posi-vibes and GWS wishes everywhere they're needed.

I need to stop typing too, I did 10 mins dead-heading yesterday evening and completely banjaxed my wrists, so a dose of Oramorph and a session with the infra-sound device next methinks.
    .
ETA: Mr LW was listening to a comedy programme on his way home from work the other day, and one of the comments made was that the blue whale skeleton in the Natural History Museum has just been declared "Fit For Work" by ATOS. :rotfl:

    Afternoon all,

Good wishes for those that need or want them. LW, glad you've had some news.

Judi - That must be a horrible feeling.
TTFTM - Glad your DD is getting help.

Did some extra time at work today helping with the Multi skills thingy the children were doing. I thoroughly enjoyed myself :) Mind you wet lunch after didn't do anything for my eardrums! They were all so high!

Just having a slob on the sofa for a couple of hours and haven't decided what to do with the Tuna steaks for dinner.

    Happy Tuesday.

    Evening all,

Due to fat fingers I regularly hit the Spam button, drives me nuts but at least I reverse it asap.

Nice day here today, 5 day Punchestown festival started toda, which is giving us lots of extra traffic....I never go although it is the local holiday festival, cba to be honest, not my type of entertainment.

Had ourfirst puncture in car today, suspect that OH drove on it as could feel it the minute I moved the car. Had to get DS3 to change wheel and discovered that its one of those wheels which is only designed to get you home....rubbish idea. Went to nearest tyre place to have it sorted.....charge?.... €5, couldnt believe it, will certainly be going back there

Ham, cabbage, swede, carrot and mash for dinner, DS 2 arriving around 9.30, so will be late dinner.

    Have a nice evening

Well yesterday ds2 was confirmed has being autistic. Also hie is quite delayed developmentally. He also had physi and his hypermobility is also quite severe. My poor boy.

Still he should get the help he needs now. The paediatrician in going to write to the education authority to ensure he gets his place at a special needs school.

Today I've done a good bit of housework. I've even sorted out some cupboards.

    JackieO, rest up lovely lady.

LameWolf, take care of yourself x

Right, ds2 has done a dirty nappy (this is one of his things he's very behind in, 5 & still in nappies for no2's)

    Love, hugs & spoons

    Evening all,

LW lots of positive vibes for both you and mr LW
mrs MH one of our grandchildren has recently been diagnosed with Autism, he's only just under 3. It's hard but as you say at least now hopefully will get all the support he needs. He's only at play group, apparently very young for a diagnosis
Lots of love and support for you and your family x

  • Julie67, ds was at nursery when it was flagged. Took a while to get a diagnosis as he also has global development delay so they had to make sure it wasn't just the GDD causing his problems. X
Good luck for your grandson x
