Cheap sheets or fabric sheets to cover furniture?

Hello all

I am looking for some large sheets of any kind of cotton or fabric to cover bed/sofa to protect from dust while things are being repaired. Does anyone know maybe on line where I can buy a cheap sheet like 7ft X 7ft of any kind of material?

Thanks all in advance.

Are there any jumble sales coming up in your area ? Old double bed sheets or quilt covers are ideal for this sort of things - quilt covers can be split open to make an even larger area. Or else charity shops may have some. Cheap as chips.

I bought cheap sheets in a charity shop. B and Q do sell plastic sheets and some woven one's too. But I though the woven one's were a bit pricey. So the charity shop sheets were half the price and bigger. Win-win.
  • The woven ones are a bit pricey - but they're huge, and they have a plastic backing so spillages don't seep through.

If it's just a bit of dust you're trying to avoid, try the charity shops for cheap sheets - but if you're going to be painting I would go for something a bit more substantial.

Poundland and similar shops do large plastic sheets.

Will a plastic sheet do the job?

eBay have them from as little as £1.33 with free postage.

A few of these should do you.
