Hi - After having 4 EA round I chose one and told her that we would sell with her BUT we did not want to actually go on the market until 12th July as we had various "house doctoring" jobs to do - the main one being finnishing the tiles and paint on the front porch so did not want potential buyers looking at the front on a drive by.
Got an email off Rightmove yesterday with new properties and our house was on there - no pics yet as not taken but the house and address is on there.
So i rang her this morning and she sounded really shocked that i would be !!!!ed off and said she was just being proactive. Offered to take it off rightmmove but i said no as there is no point as anyone searching in that criteria will already have had the email.
Also she said she would get their solicitors to send me a quote for buying / selling - i said ok. Today i get a letter off the solicitors thanking me fro instructing them to handle the conveyancing of my buying / selling process and they will contact me soon !
I am getting really annoyed by this - we have not even signed the EA contract yet and she is annoying me.
What should i do or am i just being easily annoyed ?
It is the Halifax.

It's not paranoia if they really are after you.

The first thing I would do is phone the solicitors and say that there has been a misunderstanding and can they please provide you with a written quote for their services before you decide whether or not to instruct them.
That should be all you have to say, but if you wanted, you could also say that you were not intending to instruct until you had started receiving offers / wanted to make an offer yourself.
I would actually get the EA to remove the details from Rightmove as not only would it then prevent people who are doing random searches seeing the house details (I myself never signed up for the email services as I would repeat the same search frequently in case I had missed any already on the market that I had passed over in error) but would remove the public link between their agency and your house. They should not make that association till you have signed their contract.
Maybe it is being fairly sensitive, but you need confidence that the EA will act in your best interest, and listen to you when you make specific requests. They have so far misread two of your requests, though perhaps with good intentions (giving them the benefit of the doubt). I would have a think about whether you will be happy with them if they continue in the same vein, especially as you have not officially signed up with them yet.0 -
