After 0% runs out

Hello,

What do you guys usually do when the interest free periods runs out? Do you close and reapply or just keep the card?

Thanks

    It depends.
If you keep all your CCs at some point you'll struggle to get a new one because of the far too big credit already available to you.

You could transfer to a 0% interest Balance Transfer card.

Typically when 0% runs out if I had outstanding balance I would definately move it to a new card with 0%. But it depends on your overall situation, if you have a CC "just in case" then there is no harm in letting it lie dormant, as long as you know that you can pay off anything you put on it before you get hit with big interest.

I make sure every time that I have cleared the balance and then decide whether to keep the card. I am about to cancel two such cards. I used one of them for a short while.

I have the maximum amount of total credit I could ever need on credit cards so close one for each new one I open. Which one will depend on the perks each offers post the introductory period

In the past I've cancelled any cards once the promotion has finished; however I am going to keep my Tesco MasterCard open this time, purely for the Clubcard points.
