Is this a good deal? Fiesta, Arnold Clark
My brothers car has died and he's been looking for a replacement and I just happened to see one I like but I'm not sure if it's a good deal.
2012 Ford Fiesta, 1.2l engine, 10,000 miles, heated windscreen, bluetooth, rear parking sensors - all the gadgets basically. List price £8,288
My car is a 54 plate Fiesta finesse, 51,000 miles. Great wee car, not had much bother with it. Fully MOT'd until Jan 15, excellent condition.
The deal they're offering me is £1388 for my car (after much negotiation), £1k deposit, 3% fixed rate, 5.9% apr.
I've done a few valuations of my car online and it's coming back at up to £2k trade in and £2.5k private. I also work for a bank and they'll call me back tomorrow with their staff quote on asset finance.
I've never traded in a car before and I've never taken out finance on anything. My current car is fine but it is 10 years old now and starting to make a few noises, I'm not sure if it's worth changing now or leaving a year to save up and pay for any work that needs doing in the meantime.

just my opinion, but their not offering enough for yours you could get a lot more selling private. also if you like your old car and it isn't broken why go into debt. find a local garage that you trust and get the rattles and knocks looked at they may only simple cheap things to fix0

You can buy a new Fiesta 1.25 82 Zetec 3dr for £9,944 from drivethedeal. If you believe you can get £2.5k as a private sale then buying new will only cost you an extra £544, based on the deal you have been offered.
But I would say how many 10 year old Fiestas would you like to buy from for £2k?0 -
