Can do a sandstone paving. It is cheap and long lasting. Can have a look at
stone-pavers dot com dot au (need to replace dot by '.')0 -

The time-honoured way to handle this layout is visually break it up into 3 'outside rooms', each with a purpose like
patio/grass/veg plot
kiddies play area/patio/flowers
grass/patio/shed&utility
What you choose depends on need. Most peeps use a pergola or similar to divide the space and avoid a straight run of path which takes the eye directly to the far end of the garden
I have a 115 ft long thin garden, I'm also not a gardener & will go for the patio/grass/shed&utility with a big pergola (right across) breaking up the grass & the garden/eye.
So mine will be a 5 effect.
Patio/grass/pergola/grass/shed&utility.
Does that sound ok or should I stick with 3?
I really want the patio direct behind the house & with only three sections, I would still have a long ribbon of grass.0
