I put wrong address on payment - Ebay

Hi all,
I made a mistake this morning when paying for an ebay item I bought overnight - I put the delivery address down as my old work address (I have recently changed jobs) when I should have put it to my home address.
I emailed the seller immediately and apologised, asking for it to be sent elsewhere, but I haven't heard a reply.
Just wondering if there is anything else I can do to change the address, before the item is sent?
thanks in advance

It might be a good idea to contact the mail dep't at your old company to let them know what happened and see if they will accept the package should it turn up.
Hopefully your seller will get the message before posting but if they don't, it's best to be prepared.0 -
Thanks very much, thankfully they have just replied this moment but I am aware that it makes me sound a bit of a scammer to suddenly want it sent somewhere else, and also the seller protection on paypal won't be valid, will it?0

Provided that you change your contact details on Paypal and once this is done ask your seller to send a new invoice, they should then have full seller protection.and also the seller protection on paypal won't be valid, will it?0 -

Depends how the seller is sending the item.
If it's untracked it doesn't matter afaik.0 -

As a seller personally I would send a low cost item regardless. If the seller has to refund and resend an invoice they get charged the 20p PayPal fees, and more worryingly at the moment refunds appear to be counting as a defect.
Obviously for a tracked or higher cost item I would reconsider and work out a mutual way to deal with this and protect myself.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
