    Yes,
Maybe you are getting confused between zones, rooms and pipe runs.

For example you could have 3 runs of ufh pipe in one room, say a lounge, which could constitute 1 zone controlled independently.

Then you could have 1 run of pipe in say a bathroom which constitutes
    another zone also controlled independently.

Ahha, thanks blackshirtuk that make sense.
So just to ensure i got it right, we will have 3 zones, lets say lounge, kitchen and bathroom controlled independently. Naturally they will require their own thermostats to regulate the different temperatures, timings, etc. So basically what you are saying that its not possible to replace the three individual thermostats with one Master control?

You could but why would you want to ?, you would always be tied to sensing the temperature in the location the stat was fixed and that might not give you comfort conditions in the other rooms. In a radiator system you could have TRV's on the rads to control the room temps , with UFH you can't do this , without individual room stats areas would run uncontrolled without any method of balancing the system for heat input.

I guess having TRV's on the rads make you wants to have similar setup for the UFH, but guess it would remain as a wish. I thought there might be a possibility (manifold) to perform temp/timing controls within rather than having multiple thermostats littered around house!

We have wet UHF in all of downstairs and love it. Small discrete wall mounted wireless stats in every room mean that we can control the heating perfectly. We tend to use them manually rather than program them I.e. Set temp and leave. Once up to temp we then turn them right down as the house is so well insulated the room is still warm the next morning. We wouldn't want to go back to anything else now.

Oh Spud thanks for the vote of confidence, was little nervous going through this but reading posts like this tends to put your mind at ease.
I guess we just have to replicate what you described above. BTW if you have anything along the lines of ‘lesson learnt’ then feel free to share.

We bought the house as a just finished new build so CH system designed and installed previously. As mentioned, we just use the stats manually. There are many programming options which we don't bother with. So biggest tip is consider carefully before paying more for extras you may not use. In the winter we tend to live in one or two rooms only (we have a big kitchen/family room) and keep those not used just ticking over. We've been told to prevent valve/manifold issues make sure they are turned on once a month or so to exercise them so that's what we do every now and then for a few mins. Honestly, UFH the best home improvement we've ever experienced. Combined with good insulation it's helped us keep our combined elec and gas usage to under £750 a year (for a 2000 sq ft house)!
    Hope that helps.
