Personally i wouldn't be wasting cash on new doors etc - you will never be entirely satisfied - agree with the above posts saying to live with it for as long as it takes to save for one you can design to your own needs (even if it takes a few years)0

I've seen / lived in worse, at least you don't have mice nesting in the oven grill like we had in a shared house once :eek:
I would suggest a good clean amd scrub (double check that knife, it could be good chef quality
) and then once you're in you will probably get a better idea of what you would really like. I think anything in a new house takes a while to feel like yours, when we moved I wasn't happy using the kitchen until I'd cleaned it all, and that was a fairly new kitchen that had been cleaned by cleaners.
Try to keep some money for unforeseen maintenance bills when you've moved in, roof tiles for one have a habit of flying off in high winds at super inconvenient times financially. Xx
