I have recieved a letter from Roxburghe debt collections claiming that I owe Excel parking £160 for a fine that goes back to 19.12.2013. I have recieved nothing prior to this. The time stated on this letter was 9.17pm parking without a valid ticket.
I have been on the website for the Peel centre & parking is only charged up to 9pm. I have just sent an appeal to Excel by email and recieved an email back stating I need to give them my address and the name of the person driving before they will even look at my appeal.
What's the best way to proceed now ?

Whatever you do, DO NOT write back with the name and address of the driver at this stage - tell me you haven't done that already?
Then, read the NEWBIES sticky at the top of the forum index - everything you need is in that.
Also type Excel Peel into the forum's excellent search engine and you will be swamped with almost identical cases to your own. We get a new Excel/Peel case almost every single day and we just can't take up valuable time typing the same detailed reply every time.
