Has anyone been to cala dor recently? We are staying all inclusive in the gavimar cala ferrera hotel.

Any tips? Any things we should definitely do? We are 2 adults 1 child (age 4)

Wouldn't go inclusive - eat out each night (and morning ) at new restaurant

Stayed in Cala D'or in October 2012. Chose the resort as we wanted somewhere that had lots of good restaurants to go to and we weren't dissapointed. Also really enjoyed the restaurants/bars down by the marina. Certainly not a resort I would choose to go AI to.

Sorry cant advise about any trips and what to see in the area as we just stayed in Cala D'or for the whole week.

Went to Cala D'or, all inclusive at a different resort, in August 2013. Didn't do many trips out of the area as it was a holiday that revolved around resting and relaxing at the pool! However, we did go on a boat excursion that left from the main beach (can't remember the name) to different towns near the area, also stopped off by a beautiful beach where you could swim in the ocean. There seemed to be lots of ticket sellers for different trips at the beach though.


I'm sure the hotel you are staying in will have different leaflets on trips and the staff can advise you.

davesdonkt, have you been yet? I am looking at the Gavimar hotels, they look good value for money. Can you comment on the hotel and the area?
