Best 0% Credit Card deal? Any help

Hi

I have been looking around and the best 12 month interest free cards on purchases are HSBC and Halifax one.

Does it matter that I have had a card with Halifax before and then paid it off and cancelled it?

Also I am after a credit limit of over £3,400 as I want to put my holiday on it. If anyone has any help It would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance:D

I think Nat West are offering 12mths,Capital One also offers 12 or 13months with a 1.7% handling fee most others are charging 3% fee.
Think about how you are going to spend the money and if you need to move the money through your normal bank account ( for other purchases) if you do you may want to look at MINT,Virgin,MBNA,A&L as these allow balance transfers from your credit card into your bank account really useful if you want to pay the plumber or move money for stoozing ,you will also avoid the 2% handling fee for paying for your holiday using a credit card at the travel agents.
You didn't say when you had the Halifax card but if you have settled the account then you should't have a problem obtaining another card from a different credit card company.
I have found all of the above give reasonable limits ,depending on their 0% offer periods but £6000 - £8000 is what they give me,once the offer period ends then the limit is normally increased to £15000-ish.
Watch out for interest charges and handling fees and move your funds off the card when the 0% deal runs out.
    Good luck.

It will only matter if you've closed the account within the past 6 months.
