Monday 28th April - What small DFW things will you do today?

Happy Birthday Foxgloves and hope you feel better soon Ziggy.

Did not have a good DFW weekend. Was pouring with rain here on Saturday morning and had a bit of a spat with OH. We were off to Brighton for Son 2's University interview and I was planning packed lunch and no spending. OH had other ideas. I gave in (the thought of sandwiches sat in the car when we had been on the motorway for hours didn't help) but when we got there was lovely day and a picnic would have been fine.

Anyway, we really enjoyed our day and we rarely go anywhere these days. The spend on a nice lunch in a cafe will have to come out of our monthly food budget - we will cope!

And Son 2 got an offer for the course he wants to do so was worth the journey. Am slightly concerned about what this might cost us (have no experience) but would never deny him this opportunity.

Sorry - completely wandering off the topic. Am thinking I should start a diary.

Today I made packed lunches for all, tea was from the freezer/cupboard. I walked to the post office to post my eBay sales at lunchtime. Am watching a couple of items about to sell tonight. Talked to OH about having a REALLY Frugal month. He seems up for it but often turns out to be just "lip service". Just says yes of course until he runs out of beer and then it's a full on emergency situation :mad:
