what would you do?

my husband and I have sold our current house subject to contract.

yesterday we had a 2nd viewing on a property that we really like. It was purchased by a property developer in October for next to nothing has been rewired, and refurbished to a good standard although he hasnt changed the windows and doors but everything else is new & has warrenties.

We are going to put an offer in this week for 15k less than the asking prices....yes its cheeky but shy bairns get nothing is the attitude i'm taking. In the current climate do you think its reasonable?

Somebody offered £10k less than the asking price for the house I'm selling. I didn't accept it and they came back with another offer of £5k more a couple of days later. You could always try with your offer and see what happens, then revise it up if necessary. Guess it all depends on how badly they want to sell and how many other people are interested! Good luck anyway.

What are the 5 latest sold prices.. in 1/4 of a mile - for the same sized property...

Are you in a 'hot spot' ..aka crazy priced london...

How 'overpriced' is the proeprty to start with?

I offered 40K below asking price - for the house I am sat in now.. but I had a good barganing tool -it needs work ALOT of work..

If it is 'done' .. you have less wriggle room
