Can I freeze eggs?

I have a load of eggs that are about to go out of date. I've boiled some to use in packed lunches next week, but the rest just won't get used.
If I break the others into an ice cube tray, will they be Ok to freeze? I can use them in baking once defrosted then.
Any issues with freezing eggs?

Eggs do "go not out of date"
They will keep for a month or more
Ignore the date
if you have a bad egg you will instantly smell it, like bad meat. It is how we humans survived for aeonsGardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0 -
Exactly what I was about to say, they don't go out of date. They didn't even used to have dates on them.
You can test if an egg is on it's way out by putting it in a glass of water, put your egg in a bowl of cold water, if it sinks to the bottom, it's fresh. If it sinks but stands on its point, it's still good but needs to be used soon. If the egg floats it's off.
I never look at the dates on eggs and have never once, ever, had one go off.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Thanks for the advice guys.
I do agree that they won't go off on the day the date says, but I did have a bad one (who passed the float or not test) some time ago from a 3 dayout of date egg...and the smell was hhorrific!
I have 18 eggs here that are not going to be able to use too quickly and as I have bowel/stomach issues and have to be really careful what I eat (I can't actually eat eggs- I only use them in baking) then I don't want to see them go to waste.
As it is possible, I will freeze them and I can get one or 2 out when I am baking.PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.

I understand that you would soon know if an egg was off, its the same with a potatoe thats gone really soft  But what I would like to know is if an egg passes the float test as above and is then boiled and shelled, would it still smell off?0

From what I've read online, I believe you need to break them into something. i used some chocolate moulds and froze them in them as my ice cube tray holes weren't big enough.PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
