PPCs rely on a contract being created simply because you choose to park on the designated land. However, you can just as easily repudiate any nonsense like this, with a sign of your own - which states that IF there are terms, you do not accept them.

This is only relevant to PPC's - but still worth adding to your vehicle!

    Poppycock.
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

Were it quite as easy as that.

Assuming that the signage is suitably worded, visible, readable and displayed prominently enough the argument goes that your acceptance of the contract offered (in the wording of the signs) is demonstrated by performance - your parking. The only way to repudiate the contract - basically to decline the offer - is not to park.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

You think? Where is there any obligation on the motorist to read every sign and poster?

Similarly, they rely on the presence of the sign as their only authority. A contract is based on an offer AND acceptance. If the other party has indicated they do not accept the terms, it is up to the landowner or agent to refuse entry as their stated terms are not acceptable. It also provides an addition a level of defence should there be any court action.

If you're pre-conditioned to rolling over and taking it fine - please continue to do so. But if you have a more enlightened mindset, and realise signage can equally be responded to in the same cavalier manner, it gives the motorist another string to his bow.

Ah - you pay up on request do you, irrespective of whether you were aware of any terms you supposedly agreed to? You must be rich!

And that would be a strawman argument

Troll? Some mistake matey - but if common sense eludes you, continue being taken advantage of, it's no loss to me either way.
