NPower - my hair going grey

NPower are now the most useless company I have ever had to deal with.

My online account is still not showing any Gas meter reading records and there is no record of my Direct debit being set up at my bank.

I have had lots of reassuring emails from the NPower team and Executive Complaints team.

If your are thinking of switching to NPower forget it. MSE should consider withdrawing all adverts and promotions for NPower tariffs until they get their act together. The management at NPower should be banned from running a company.

    I have been having the exact same problem, i think they have had/still do have some major IT system issues. They have used this excuse for months now, I mean COME ON, in this day and age a company doesn't have long standing IT issues that last months!

    I joined N Power back in October last year, but I have only just received my first bill, and only now because I have pestered about twenty times!

    In the end I raised a complaint, people promised to call me back numerous times and never did! I have been unable to give meter readings, receive an accurate update as to where my account lies etc, which is a major concern with energy prices as they are.

    I have now started to switch to Ovo, and although they want be perfect, I refuse to pay out another penny to N Power!

    N power have Shockingly bad service, generally an awful company to deal with!

    Completely agree. Switched in October, they still hadn't set up my Gas account correctly come February. They didn't send correct closing readings to my old supplier and then consistently used wrong meter readings to bill me whilst I was with them.

    Fortunately my rental agreement fixed term ended and I ended up moving to a new place with a new supplier. However it took Npower 6 weeks to send a final bill...and I had to ask for it as they didn't put it through on the system when I initially rang to give them closing reads.

    Having said that in February at the height of my problems with them I did fire off a complaint or two. The complaint to their standard team did result in the gas account being sorted and them finally sorting things out with my old supplier pretty promptly.

    Just as I got my final bill last week I then received a call from the Exec complaints team about my complaint to them from Feb. They apologised for the delay citing that they were not getting to people as fast as they'd like due to the volume of problems they were dealing with.

    The guy was really good, cut straight to the chase and offered to wipe my final bill of £40 and give me £50 as a gesture of good will. Took a while to get there which is unacceptable, but I was happy with the resolution.
