When you are in Windows Media Player, what happens when you select .....
Organise > Manage Libraries > Music > Add Location ... and browse for the stick and it's directory. Are you seeing the stick at all?
EDIT: Also, have you used any of the Password Protection / Encryption software that comes on the stick?... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -

Not seeing the stick 1 at all but it does show on the left in "computer"
I did try the same procedure for the stick2 ( this works with WMP )and I got the same result for stick2 as I did for stick 1 a no show in the location box

Curious. I've tried several of my Sandisk USB memory sticks and they all show up in WMP when I follow the Organise > Manage Libraries > Music > Add Location ... and browse for the stick route. I can't think why yours doesn't, sorry.... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0

Sorry miss-read your post.
You could try a restore to the last time it worked to see if that clears anything.
Other than than that, try another media player to see if all is working correctly in there.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Sandisk answer
Thank you for contacting SanDisk Technical Support. My name is Georgios G. and I am here to assist you.
I understand that you are inquiring why your flash drive shows as a fixed disk instead of removable media.
In mid-2013 SanDisk changed production of its USB Drives configured as fixed disk to meet a perceived certification requirement. SanDisk USB Drives with either removable or fixed disk configuration will work the same when used for data storage on Windows PC and Mac computers. SanDisk is in the process of reverting back to producing USB Drives configured as removable disk.
NOTE: There is no tool available to change SanDisk USB Drives between fixed and removable disk configuration.
We hope this has answered your question and encourage you to register your product.
Should the drive is not working with WMP as you wish to, we recommend to returning it at place of purchase.
We would like to confirm that the flash drive comes with Secure Access pre-installed, which is a data encryption and password protection software provided to our customers as a complimentary offer; the program is not required in order to use your flash drive as a storage device; if you do not plan on using it you may delete it from the flash drive.Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0
