Lets keep the chat civil shall we folks?

I did a shop at 930. Salad cream was showing on MSL as being available in A (no 4for£5 showing) but it's still missing from apg results

As DD said, the APG system is a law of its own. It's shown and not shown. Different barcodes or maybe just the system??

Trouted in Sainsburys yesterday wouldn't except my coupon of fabreze and the John West Steam Pot I was told they no longer except internet coupons though after going to customer services they relented on the Steam pot when I arrived home I sent an email to Sainsburys suggesting they put signs up no internet coupons excepted to save embarrassment This was their reply today

Thank you for your email. I am sorry that your two manufacturer’s safe coupons were refused at the checkout. I can understand your embarrassment as after going to customer services you were able to redeem them.

Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to us. We want every aspect of your shopping experience to be a pleasant one. Due to the amount of vouchers / coupons accepted in store it is not possible for our colleagues to be aware of them all. However, they should be polite and helpful at all times as this is something we stress greatly during training.

A coupon will be accepted if

    • It has a barcode
    • It has terms and conditions and they are validated
    • It's not a competitors' voucher (unless specifically advertised in store)
    • The coupon is being redeemed against the correct product
    • We sell the product.

Coupons printed from the internet can be accepted providing they meet the above criteria. To redeem a Nectar bonus point coupon you must have your Nectar card with you. Healthy Start and Luncheon Vouchers are also accepted.

To allow me to share your feedback with the stores management team, it would be helpful if you could provide me with the name of the store you visited. You can do this by replying to this email or by calling our Customer Careline on 0800 636 262, quoting reference

In the meantime, I have credited your Nectar card ending with 1000 points, which equals £5. This is a gesture of goodwill for your experience in store. We hope you can use the points to treat yourself to something nice on us. Please allow 72 hours for your cards balance to be updated.

I hope you enjoy using the points and we hope it goes someway in restoring your faith in us. We appreciate you taking the time to email us and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Yours sincerely,

viv0147....Thank you for posting a copy of your email from S...I have actually stopped using them as my main shopping point now since I had a similar experience just before christmas.

I'm sorry you got a similar trouting....

Its encouraging to know that as a company S do still accept internet coupons...but sadly I no longer give them the opportunity to,as I find it just too annoying to stand and debate a 50p coupon in full view of the self serve checkouts....but it might be worth me taking a note of the contents of your posting should I decide to change my mind in the future and return to their stores!!!!

It might be that scotlands apg database is updated separately.
