I received the following email from the Times earlier today:
We hope you're enjoying your subscription to The Times and the The Sunday Times. Unfortunately we’ve had to get in contact as we’ve noticed an issue with your subscription.
What to do next?
Don't worry it's easy to put right, just give us a call on 0800 092 8425 or (+44 1733 588488 if you're overseas) in the next 7 days, and one of our member support team will be happy to resolve the issue. You can then continue to enjoy our award-winning journalism and your exclusive benefits and offers from Times+ without any disruption.
I'm assuming it's just because I cancelled last week and cancelled the DD with my bank, but I don't really want to have to call and explain that I've already cancelled! Has anyone else had the same?
No email for me.
But I paid via PayPal.
Think you're right with regards to the DD though. If you've cancelled they probably tried to take a payment from you.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

Well I did cancel my subscription via their online chat (no problems, no questions asked, surprisingly straight forward, or so I thought!) so it's not like I just cancelled the DD with my bank. I might do another online chat and see what they have to say, rather than wasting time and money calling.0 -

I was shocked to find mine didn't have a dipstick when the oil warning light came on a couple of years ago. Spent about half an hour looking for it before checking the handbook. It was all controlled electronically so I had to trust the display on the dashboard.0 -
