Queenriderbrekke wrote: »Wonder if the chicken mini fillets 350g that are 3 for £10 at Tesco would compare to Morrisons 400g mini fillets as suggested on Mysupermarket making them 3 for £4.00 after PP? What difference in weight is the maximum?
Hi there, it's a good wonder:D! I'm off to Morries right now - I could spend all day replying to PMs (such a popular guy I am:D) but will have to get to them belatedly later:o - I'm just popping in as irritating msm again - 83 items in the 2 for £7 (and 3 for £10?) in T, but... 91 when signed out!!:(:(:rotfl: Well, I just have not got time to print them all out - could not get them into a 'basket' to print out (in msm's helpless random way:() anyway as not available signed in for me. So I've just done a visual scan and a few I don't remember being on my signed-in list I've taken note of - can't guarantee I've got absolutely all but probably not significant. (Watch me miss one that turns out to be the absolute best:o:o:rotfl:.)
I've added a couple of them to Meat offer post, Tvs M part. One looks very good if it worked: T Diced Chicken Breast 400g £4.00/Any [3 for £10?] in T vs £2.00 each in M. M is 385g, within weight, according to msm but I've to go off to M and see it for myself as - remember those Chicken Wings (totally separately, so don't let me confuse you;)) that showed M as going down in price on msm yet turned out on APG to be a bit of a loss if put vs M?
The maximum weight difference, supposedly, is 10% btw. I think it's calculated from the shop you are buying in's weight (in this case T), that's how it works with APG not 100% sure it is the same on T PP. However, items before have compared even if outside weight - T's Golden Delicious apples packs that were nearly 900g compared to Mr A's 750g packs (remember those, way back? Now 600g:(:(:( I think), this a long time ago now.
So the mini fillets that are 350g wouldn't (are very unlikely to) compare to 400g in M. It's an upwards weight anyway - in other words the M product much more - not that it wouldn't, or couldn't, ever be a glitch - but I think it highly unlikely. But... I don't think there are just 400g ones in M, I think there may be some 380g ones too (which are, in theory, within the 10% weight). I've no idea if T PP would compare - on the one hand, T does seem to scout around a bit more widely for comparable items at other supermarkets (and this is in the T&Cs), often seems to our disadvantage as it finds something much more expensive elsewhere that is quite a bit different (IMO) from their product, but with these weight differences (350g, 380g) I never trust things to compare - I always think manual collectors in M (whether for A or T) might miss slight subtle differences like this:D. Meat generally can be a tricky one - often different weights in different stores - and remember fixed weight does not compare to variable and vice versa, in theory (in other words unless there's a glitch on that aspect, and I mean more than beyond the 'glitch' - what some or many people on here would call a 'glitch' - between 3 for £10 and 3x £4. (IMO that aspect isn't a glitch as such, as it's what the T&Cs say should happen when dual offers, for example, running in a store. But let's call it a 'glitch' for simplicity - thus any fixed vs variable weight - if that compared, it should not - would, if that situation were to materialise, be a further and separate additional glitch element, on top of the 'glitch' between 3 for £10 and 3x£4).)
Phew! In short, weight difference is 10%. 400g is outside of that and, for reasons explained above, I don't think it would compare. Could be wrong of course, if there's a glitch element in that aspect too. But unlikely there will be.
T Diced Chicken Breast 400g looks potentially a really good one - 3 x £4 vs £2 each, but off to Morries now for further looking-into.0 -

It's great a great app. :T
Before, I'd find the company's 0845 number, then go to saynoto0870 and they would sometimes have several different numbers for the same company.
Also, more companies are cottoning on to the fact that we are using the 'calling from abroad' option and advise you to ring their 0845 number.
This app solves both those problems and saves you time.
Time is money.

Rarely do a T pp now.
I got that too - and got the same response. I re-checked the T&Cs and they weren't worded clearly enough for me (...surely should then have been 'most favourable interpretation to the consumer...'?) but, as aau1 posted, branded items must be same weight to compare on T PP (I thought 10% weight applied to them too, but clearly it's only own brands that have a weight difference thing - and, then, on T PP compare without adjustment for weight so as to be 'a fair comparison'). Branded items must also be the same weight as each other on Sains.BM according to the T&Cs, and there it is stated even more forcefully and clearly, yet in practice they do compare even if there are slight weight differences, according to an article by Which?, "even though this isn't stated in the T&Cs". (Reference to be found later.)
I think the Banana shakes in both T and A are likely to be the same weight, but the A website gives whatever weight it gives and it differs from that in T's system (even though the product I bought was actually a different weight and matched that on a.com but T PP system came up with a 3g-out weight that it held and then said N/A). They (T Cust Servs) weren't having that either. Therefore, I never buy Yazoo milkshake in T ever again - I now buy it separately in A!:D Don't compare and don't refund then - I will use your competitor:p.
:eek:For some reason I'm having a feeling the Diced Chicken Fillets will work.0 -
