We are about the same. I try and overpay at start middle and end of month depending how moneys going. He has a thing on computer works it all out when I pay. We get stung for an overpayment charge now but we know long run we winning not them.

I coiylkd wallpaper small toilet with the letters. Mr Spanish bank must hate me :j

It's so exciting to get the letters isn't it! You should wallpaper the loo and send your bank manager a photo of it as you're going along :D

We don't have any overpayment charge (Nationwide) providing that we overpay by less than 10% of the purchase price in each year. We also have to pay over £500 in one go to get it taken off the term, otherwise it comes off the next payment, which is pointless. Have you done a graph of the mortgage yet? DH did one and it's so nice to see the 'money owed' line drop like a stone with every month we pay and overpay.

I know Martin has a thing about not focusing on buying and being happy with renting, but I have to say we had some truly awful experiences in rented accommodation, and now we've got our own hard-earned place, I would never go back to living in someone else's house again.

thank you very much to everyone who has given tips on bank accounts and energy lately.

The money is beginning to come in....

first direct have given me switching money. i have even made sales on ebay now...

Have been moving money around so following rules.

i have many years for my mortgage but as prices have increased so already i'm likely to be at 75% ltv.

Now cutting down on spending a la tweets as i would like to get a new mortgage deal in a few months. But will be worth it as i could save quite a sum.

But my holiday in the sun is in two weeks so i don't feel too deprived.
