Hello all :) just popping on to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone that has donated to our just giving page I'm trying to get round to messaging you all individually to say thank you but it's taking a little while :) and thanks for the words of support, it means a lot.

For anyone that doesn't know my mum (Leenie) found out she had ovarian cancer last march, she has since had months of chemo followed by a total abdominal hysterectomy and then more chemo. It's been a horrible year for us all but hopefully things are on the up and mums going to be one of the lucky ones.

We are now both running race for life in May and are trying to raise as much money as we can to help the research into finding a cure for cancer. We also want to help make women aware of ovarian cancer, it's the fifth most common cancer in the uk but we don't think it's mentioned enough. Mum went to the doctors originally with bloating to her stomach and pains to her side, other then that she was fit and healthy. It's important it's caught early as it can quickly spread to other areas, unfortunately mum didn't catch it early enough because she didn't recognise the signs.

I will make sure I post some pictures of us on the race day, me, mum and my 18 month old will be taking part. Any ideas what we can wear would be great, we're going pink but want to do something abit different..... We did think along the lines of grease pink ladies but I'm sure it been done lots of times before, so any ideas please let us know :)

Once again a massive thank you! Sorry for the long post xxxxxx

Hello Leenie and Toni, missed you posting Leenie and often think of you when I'm wearing my PU :)

Hugs to you and very best of luck with the race x
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

I'm just about caught up I think, have had to skip now and again.

Nice to see a new poster, welcome Memoryloss, hope you enjoy your time here. Plenty of laughter to be had here along with the bargains.

qoc, so sorry to hear the news :( it is one of the hardest things to do but rest assured that the pain has now stopped for your !!!!! x

Did think about sorting out my airing cupboard tonight but decided that can wait until tomorrow. Yet another day I'll be staying by the bloody phone waiting for MrA or Yodel grrrrrrr

Did I see DrV posting earlier or was it my imagination? Not seen him post in quite a while.

tweets, how you doing? Is your son coming home this weekend? We've not planned anything as such but I am so excited as I am having a special visitor this weekend. Will let you know later if it all takes place.

scamps, nice to see you too. Pleased you are back and sounding cheery. I'm sure with the right medication all will be in control for you x

I'm geting there. I had a ct scan today and am waiting for an mri in a few weeks. Hopefully they will come up with a proper diagnosis. I'm on a cocktail of tablets to help.
I'm not doing EC this week, I'm going to see the flume down park street!! I'll keep them for you until we meet. XX
