Neighbour has a very small yappy dog which he secures to a post in his garden to yapp outside for a while every afternoon :D

Neighbour has no concept of privacy, wanders down to his greenhouse in the morning in a very short dressing gown and mows his lawn stripped to the waist (in his mid 50s and not in the best of shapes)
His washing line whirly gig thing has now been repositioned down the bottom end next to our little fence so his washing is now on full display as well.
He is one of those that lives totally in his own world. His garden is full of half finished jobs, timber piles, ironmongery, piles of bricks and a rusting oil drum.

On the other side of him the lady is a very keen gardener so her patch is fully established and she has full grown bushes on her fence line that at least screen it out.

Its not too much to be ask is it, to be able to drag a garden chair down the bottom on a summers evening with cats and a glass of wine and enjoy the sunshine without looking at the mess in the garden next door.

What you describe is my neighbour to a tea....
Even before we had moved in to our current house we had sussed the situation out and the first thing we did on moving in was put up a lovely fence!
So as not to try and discriminate between neighbours we actually put it round the 3 sides of or garden in order to block us in...
I'm not an anti social person and quite often stand and have a chat with our neighbours at the front of our house but the whole idea of standing and chatting and observing them in the backgarden is a bit of a no no to me...strange maybe but thats me!
we used a mixture of block panels and slightly lattice ones and over the years we have trained clemitis and honeysuckle around it so not only can we sit out in peace at the bottom of the garden it smells fragrant too...
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Thanks David...... Don't think i've ever signed up for anything where i've even had the option of classing myself as a 'Lady'. Feeling really down just now but that did make me smile a little. :o

Ok, so when I go out to the hospital, slow cooker is going on with lump of gammon and a can of Pepsi. Never tried the coke thing before, can anyone foresee a problem, or give me ideas of what else to add. Need a quick tea tonight, so will prob have with fried eggs and new potatoes in herb with it, possibly beans or spag, so don't really want a 'gravy'.

Also still looking for useful things cheap in W's rather than just grabbing the usual fillers. :(

And now i've notice the grapes are a no go on my short AvW list.

    Good job I checked again.

    A's are 400g, £2 each
    W are 500g 2 for £4

So even being on the same page on msm they aren't going to compare are they, outside the 10% weight difference.

Now trying to get hold of my sis to see if she can grab some in W's on the way past. Much better bargain in there, and hopefully nicer too.

Really good find David. thanks. :T

There are a few restaurants on the list near where I used to work that I went to when I was young free and single and money was no object. Will be good to go back and try a couple and see if they are still as good as they were. ;)
