Sunshinestacey is awesome, I often look at her holidays and have been quite tempted ,quite recently she posted a brilliant deal to Disney and if we knew what was going on regarding our house I think I would of booked it as we always said we would go once we were back on our feet :)

I saw that one and if I'd not been going elsewhere very soon, I'd have been on it too...it would have been a great surprise for my friend and her kids that are off there this week :D

    Hiya

Will this also work online please?

    Thanks

I dont see why not as its a straight comparison but I wouldnt like to say for certain. The only thing is to echo what savvy said in that it should work today but gets riskier as the day progresses.:)
I'm trying hard to resist going for more!

Evening - or is that morning? to anyone still around.......
Thanks for the new thread, I feel a little bit late joinging the party again but have had one hell of a s**t weekend of it.

Hope you feeling a little better since this post TS.

I'm so glad you have all been filling your (car) boots with Pepsi since that womble I found. Wow, I appear to have been some use. :rotfl: Well that's cheered me up. I did a forum search for pepsi and it does appear some of you have been busy. I hope I can get a chance to shop in the morning?

Unfortunately I've had no hope of getting any as yet as Mum has been in an awful state, worse than ever, even to the point of thumping me earlier when I was moving her, as she refused to move her feet when standing and I just had to lift her back on the bed myself before dropping her. Then shouting at me for 'forcing tablets down her throat' when I was putting them in one of her hands, helping her hold the water bottle in the other, and trying to convince her that they are ones the doc she saw half hour before on a home visit had prescribed. (we needed a change of meds.) My other sis is staying over night with my Dad but I don't know how long this can go on for, as at least me n my sis can swap over, but Dad in his mid 70's is getting no break. One person alone wouldn't manage. I know her attitude just now is down to the pain she is in and medication, and she will almost definitely not remember a thing. But how are we supposed to manage whilst it's happening?
Saturday I phoned the local 'emergency' social services. What a joke! I said we needed a commode to be able to cope at all at home, and at 3pm on a saturday their best suggestion was to go out and buy one! After numerous phone calls, and waiting on calls back, (not to social services!) I got a sorry, we can't find one from district nursing team. I followed this up with well sorry, you will just have too!!!!! Got a call 15 mins later saying you can have a loan of one from a local community hospital if you can pick it up, which we did. It was brand new and came out of a store room!
Sorry for my long winded rabble, but I had to get it off my chest. All I hope is that things can start to get better.

Hi Elsie1969, Just read your post last night and just wanted to thank you for the pepsi womble. I would have said a thanks in my shop posted yesterday but I couldn't recall the op as it was on the last thread and I think it went largely unnoticed until Savvy pointed it out:).
I also want to say I can sympathise over your situation with your mum and the stressful time your having. Like so many others my family have gone through a similar thing. The difference being my siblings are having to shoulder the load whilst I have a heap of guilt on me because I dont live near by and cannot help out much. My mum is now at the stage of a series of daily carers, it was a battle to get to this point but hang in there you will get the support you need and things will get better.
Thanks again Elsie, hope you manage to get a pepsi shop in today but more importantly I wish you well in what your going through - and I hope you dont think me impertinent in writing this, I've hesitated over posting this as I am a relative newcomer here and not one of the regulars!
As we heard from the sad news from some posters last night at times there are more important things to worry about than shopping. (But a nice glitch is a welcome distraction!)
    Take care x

Risky - cold cooked rice grows some sort of mould that is toxic. Advice seems to be to cool quickly, refridgerate immediately and don't keep longer than 24 hours.. Also, DH got full blown salmonella posioning from a cold rice dish off the buffet in Morocco (only thing he had that I didn't). I wouldn't risk it.

    Good morning all

    Just catching up

You can get food poisoning from eating reheated rice.
It’s not the reheating that causes the problem but the way the rice has been stored before it was reheated

If rice is to be cooked in advance don’t cook too much at once large amounts take too long to cool.

Keep cooked rice hot at 60ºC or cool rice quickly under cold running water cover rice and store in the refrigerator at 4ºC

Shop done at 8.15 this morning. Spent just over £15, lost a few pence on my fillers but the cereal compared well. I think the other breakfast bars should work, like the strawberry etc as not showing 2 for £3 on msm again.

    Why £12.04?
