Believe me I have NO jealousy of your situation. All the money I the world could never make me desire such a superficial, materialistic view of life. In fact, I feel sorry for your, but no jealousy.
I think that you may have accidentally wandered onto the wrong site, this is a money making site - not the hippy 4 U site you obviously thought you were posting on!
This is where we share money making ideas for all to benefit and that's what I do ...... plenty have become very wealthy following my lead.
If I wish to display my charitable nature then I visit sites where that is the central theme - this isn't that arena.
As for BTL's being the root of all evil - what a load of rubbish! There are those on here who want to rent .... and I generously provide them with that option.
What would you suggest that I do with my money? Leave it in the Bank? Or make it work for me by buying property to help those who need a home? Remember, money making, not hippy making comments only allowed!Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -
1st RULE: You do not talk about FIGHT CLUB.

4th RULE: Only two guys to a fight.
5th RULE: One fight at a time.
6th RULE: No shirts, no shoes.
7th RULE: Fights will go on as long as they have to.
8th RULE: If this is your first night at FIGHT CLUB, you HAVE to fight.Peace.0 -

Money isn't the problem but some of the condescending, crude, judgemental, avaricious, ostentatious and inelegant displays on this forum by those who, in reality, have very little can be quite unedifying.
Sometimes money can't buy you class - a hippy could tell you that.0 -

.... Houses put up for sale, should only be available for people wanting to own and occupy for a set period of 6 mths for example. Then if nobody wants to buy it within that 6 mths then it can be opened to buy to let purchasers.
Surely this must be an idea used in other countries?0 -
Correct, it was a hopeless idea.
It's a free country, some here want to stop that freedom as it suits their agenda ....... these are people who wait for things to happen to assist their situation - rather than doing something themselves ....Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -
Housing is not a something to make a living out of.... the reduced house building rate, and the allowance of non domestic purchases has lead to a surge in house prices....
Now there is high demand for rental properties due to inability of poeple to afford houses due to house increases above wages...
It has nothing to do with working hard.... people in regular jobs should be able to buy their home, this is not the case at the moment.
The march of the Buy to letters is the result of low house building rates, poor availability of credit, very high house prices, and lack of government rules and regulation and schemes to support house building.
Buy to letters are not evil.... Just a symptom of a broken system and a situation we are stuck in with not much room for manovere. without drastic destabilising radical actions I think we are due to keep increasing without a burst in the bubble.Peace.0 -
Funny how people cannot afford to buy, yet everyone IS!
Funny how house prices are increasing because 20 people are wanting to buy each house which comes to the market!
So, basically, what you are saying is rubbish - most people can buy now with the huge amount of cheap money available.Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -
I'm not sure what low house building rates has to do with more BTLs, You missed one of the main reasons why people are entering BTL low interest rates.0
